Rain drain

new sidewalk concrete with multi-hole drain
Sixty one holes

This multi-hole drain cover features the venerable 1 x 6 x 12 x 18 x 24 hole pattern, resulting in 61 holes to drain rain.  Set in the sidewalk and out of the path of foot traffic, it has acquired a rusty patina.

The more unusual 1 x 5 x 12 x 18 x 24 x 30 pattern can be seen here.

Do you have '5' or '6' second ring drain covers?

Naturally rusted

rusty sewer cover and stripes
31x29 cover

The late afternoon sun enhances the colors of the yellow street striping and the 31 x 29 diamond pattern on this sewer cover that was seen in the street beneath our feet.  This labeled SEWER cover is located in a marked off section of a parking lot and gets very little foot or vehicle traffic.  That has allowed it to attain a natural "rusty orange" color.

Rus-Tee

Rusty hatch and railing
Ring o' rust

This flush-with-the-deck watertight T-handled hatch is so rusty, one wonders if it would even open?  If it did open, would it seal properly when closed?

Fresh paint on faded

Painted wall around back door

Back door and wall

The sun-fading of the wall paint is made evident when the original color paint is used to touch up the wall around the door.

It appears that the touch up painter did not cover up the rust streaks below the door.

Encased in cement

Seen in the street beneath our feet, the iron that is encased within this cement sidewalk is leaching out as rust.

 Encased in concrete

One wonders what is enrobed within the sidewalk to cause this?

Yellow Hoodie

Garage Exterior

The sunlight streaming through the skylight illuminates the rusted yellow car hood propped up against the back wall of the open garage.

Garage Interior No. 1

The walls are made of hollow partition tiles.

Garage Interior No. 2

Notice the radiator on the back wall - the garage is (was) heated!

Rusty water and gas

Water utility cover

Bingham Taylor gas utility cover

Installed in the sidewalk beneath our feet, these cast iron utility covers are located in an area of a re-purposed site that has almost no foot traffic.  The lack of sole buffing has allowed them to acquire a patina of iron oxide.

The manufacturer of the WATER cover is not known.  The GAS cover is made by Bingham & Taylor; however the cover does not include the "&" or "and" that usually seen as part of their name on their covers.

Rusted and abandoned

Rusty eye bolt

The rust around this eye bolt creates a pattern and color that contrasts sharply with the grey cement of this abandoned dock.
