An apparition in the shade

Sunlight reflected off a car hood onto a slightly shaded wall creates a collection of curves and patterns.

Chevrolet used an eagle headed jet airplane as a hood ornament in the late 1950s.  Below that was the "vee" logo or the Chevrolet coat of arms.

 

The winglets on these "jets" predate the appearance of winglets on airplanes by several decades.

 Seen from almost above, the hood ornament resembles an airplane in streaming flight.
