Starry starry pumpkin

A fourth grade arts class interprets a pumpkin patch on a starry night with a crescent moon overhead:

 They are all so good!

To dispel any notion that those pumpkins are distorted dimensionally:

Produce waste bins

wasted food bins orange
Fill 'em up 'n' throw 'em out

At the back of a market, a row just installed and still clean bright orange-red bins stands ready to receive the wasted organic and produce food products.  The chain keeps scavengers from scrounging from the bins.

Naturally rusted

rusty sewer cover and stripes
31x29 cover

The late afternoon sun enhances the colors of the yellow street striping and the 31 x 29 diamond pattern on this sewer cover that was seen in the street beneath our feet.  This labeled SEWER cover is located in a marked off section of a parking lot and gets very little foot or vehicle traffic.  That has allowed it to attain a natural "rusty orange" color.

Orange and grey

Even with the outside and inside signage, the food service equipment, and the customer seating having been removed, this combination of grey and orange interior colors in this closed establishment readily identify it as once having been a franchisee of a multinational doughnut cookery and coffee dispensary chain.

The customer entrance is on the left side; the doorway to the "back room" is seen in the far distance.

The customer entrance is on the left; the counter layout directs customers to the order and pick up area.

This empty place of burnt orange walls and counters and grey tiles is presented as a relaxed view 3d stereograph.

Carrot color

Purple - yellow orange carrot

Three of a pair
Three different carrots

Carrots can have different colors and cores.  The purple carrots are considered "eastern" (i.e., from the East - Persia).  Orange carrots are more common.  Even they can have different colored cross sections.

P.S.  the orange carrot on the right was the tastiest.

Common tiger lily

Common tiger lily, No. 1

Common tiger lily, No. 2

Although these are called "Common Tiger lilies" or "Orange Day lilies", they are quite spectacular.  The morning dew droplets add to their beauty.  These Hemerocallis Fulva grow where they want, as they are wild.
