Double rainbow outside

 

Scene outside

A double rainbow is seen in this scene.  The secondary rainbow, seen outside the primary rainbow, is fainter but wider than the primary rainbow.  Its colors are reversed when compared to the order of colors in the primary rainbow.  The dark band between the two bows is called "Alexander's Band"; it is dark because the sunlight reflected by the raindrops in that area does not reach the viewer.  A supernumerary bow appears to be forming to the left of the primary bow, but does not form.

Firmly attached to the facade of an old building, the original purpose of this hooked metal tab is long forgotten.  It remains functional to this day, hanging ready for use if it should be asked to do so.

The South End Office has been closed for over a year.  Its 'mid-century modern' architectural style invites the passing-by camera to click off a few. This portion of the front facade is presented as a relaxed view 3d stereograph.

The piping colors and layout seen on the side of the industrial building was inspired by the Microsoft Windows 3D Pipes Screensaver.

A stroll past a school building before the school year has started allows for a leisurely view of the sky reflected in the windows.

Dusted with snow

A  visit to that abandoned maple sugar house in the woods, after a dusting of snow.  This side view of the building is presented as a relaxed view 3d stereograph. 

Left behind

A hastily stitched view of the interior of the abandoned maple sugar house.  Not much was left behind; the pans have been removed.  This view is towards the front, the outside of which can be seen here.

Building on a triangle shaped lot

All cities boast of buildings with unique footprints.  This is the well known triangular shaped "Flowerama" building.  Although the original business has long since closed, the signage remains, reminding passers by of days gone by.

The grey paint on the rear door of a commercial building has become streaked with time.

Two mops at the back door

Two mops have been hang out to dry at the corner of the building where the delivery truck missed the turn and hit the building, damaging some of the cinder blocks; those have since been replaced but have not been painted.
