Frost to the left, slush to the right

The frost in the shadow remains frosty.  To the right, having been sunlit for a while, it is melting.  In the middle, it looks bright in the sunlight.

The sidewalk was recently re-poured, and the sloppy cementeering has done away with the charms of this 1 x 5 x 12 x 18 x 24 x 30 drain cover.

In years past, the drain was wet and green.

Some leaves, when they fall off their tree, hit the pavement so hard that they leave an imprint.  This red one was too light to do that.
