After a rain storm, the rain water drains through the tiling.  The recessed middle of the drain cover retains the rainwater.  It is plain that the rain stays mainly on the drain.

Five petal flower plant, mowed

The ground beneath our feet often has surprises.  The five petal flower plant was mowed down as part of the regular mowing schedule.  In the lower left corner, a skipper butterfly waits while the mowed area is documented.

Touching up the faded paint with fresh paint creates a subtle shaded effect around the blue arrow indicating that a water utility is located under the street beneath our feet.
