American Lock on gate

 

An assemblage of nuts, iron rod, I-bolt, pipe, chain, U-bolt, and lock provides an ingenious method of securing the gate.

 

 

Three over two

Store front in vertical rectangles 

At one time, the front glass of this empty store was "three over one".  When those large glass panes were broken, they would be replaced with smaller panes that were cheaper to buy and replace.  Here the result is a "three over two" look which accentuates the overall effect of vertical rectangles.

Door pull 

Despite the look of the door pull and lock, the front door is well secured.  Of note is the ergonomic placement of the pull handle in relation to the thumb latch.

Lock stuck

No doubt this lock fell off the back of a truck when it hit a bump in the road.  By happenstance, it fell into an crack in the road.  The passing wheeled traffic pressed it into the summer heat softened asphalt, embedding it firmly in the road where it stays, stuck.
