Sunlight from the setting sun makes the already bright fall foliage of this Liriodendron tulipifera (tulip tree) even more colorful.

Flaunting foliage

Alone in color

There always seems to be that one tree that does not want to shed its leaves.  This maple continues to flaunt its colors long after the others in the grove have dropped theirs.

The clouds in the blue sky look like smoke coming off this maple ablaze in fall foliage.

The leaves in the downspout catch basin are wet and do not get blown away by the wind.

The fig "plant" had some nice fall foliage in 2015.  It was surprising to see that it was as colorful as it was.  Looking down at the leaves shows off the different sizes and color patterns.

It is a "plant" because it is still in a big pot, waiting to grow bigger and hardier so it can be planted outside.
