A brief moment in time
Thirty seconds before this photo was taken, the shopping cart was not there; the customer who used it had not yet left it there. Thirty seconds after this photograph was made, the shopping cart was not there; a gust of wind had blown it away. During that brief moment in time when it was there - the color standing out against the drabness, the basket casting an almost moire shadow - that moment has been saved to be savored.

This display window that is filled with plastic baskets is at the rear of the dollar store.
There are 45 courses of brick visible on the left side of the window and 46 courses visible on the right side. That does not explain why the left side seems higher than the right side.
