The vegetable stand placed these Napa and flat cabbages next to each other; they are two of many cabbage cultivars.

Green cabbages await their fate at the corner fruit and vegetable store.

Located on the south side of the store, the heads are sheltered from direct sunlight by shade from an overhanging roof; sunlight reflected from the sidewalk provides the high light from below.

In deep shadow and lit from below by reflected sunlight, these red cabbages present a purple view.
