This manhole cover was spotted in the street beneath our feet. The six holes in this sewer cover are not orthogonal with respect to the plane of the cover. Each of the holes is set at an angle that slants from the outer edge towards the center of the cover; if projected downward, all six would converge at a point somewhere beneath the cover
How interesting! I have never seen a manhole with slanted holes, only with ones that go straight down. That must take some ingenuity to make the casting mold for that.
